Is all TV time bad?

What do you think?
Is ‘educational’ tv REALLY educational? Does that mean I don’t have to feel bad when my kids watch 2 hours of DORA?? Or is TV time only bad when it is mindless cartoons? But isn’t all TV mind numbing? Sometimes I have a hard time deciding. I think TV can be a good avenue for some things… thoughts? Articles? Feelings?

I don't think all TV time is bad, moderation in all things, right? Abigail learned her shapes from Barney, and Bryant learned his letters from a LeapFrog movie. And there are days when my children watch endless hours (yes, hours) of TV and I feel slightly guilty, but then again, sometimes I just need a personal day, and if they watch TV they are more likely to give me some peace. And then sometimes I do draw the line, and tell them no more, and they get upset, but once they get over it, they go and play in the playroom, or look at books, and entertain themselves. Oh, and they are learning Spanish from Dora. šŸ™‚
