1 pkg of lasagna noodles (or 12 noodles)
1 lb hamburger, browned
1 jar (24-28 oz) your favorite spaghetti sauce
1, 32 oz tub cottage cheese
2 c. shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 c. parmesan cheese, dried or fresh
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp. black pepper
Cook lasagne noodles al’dente (just until they start getting tender- still firm to the bite, but soft enough to bend).
Combine browned meat and spaghetti sauce.
In a separate bowl combine the cottage cheese, 1 1/2 c. of the mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, eggs, nutmeg, and pepper.
In a 9×13 casserole/pan grease the bottom them layer the 4 noodles, meat mixture, and cheese mixture 2 times ending with noodles on top. Then sprinkle the remaining mozzarella on top and bake at 350 F for 30 minutes.
*For Gluten Free version, use GF Lasagne noodles.
